Angel, the rambunctious chick with lots of energy.
Sunshine, the biggest of them all, the sight of your everyday chick.
Leopard Baby, the smallest one with the attachment to Prof. Hill.
Oreo, the calmest of the twins/always chill and the easiest to pet.
Boston, twins with Oreo, but unlike her twin, she is almost always moving.
Penguin, the mover, she would never be caught dead standing still, unless she was under or in a hand.
They were and still remain the chicks in six. Although they are gone from our classroom, they will always be remembered. I hope they are happy in Governor's Island. They might not be our official chicks, but they are as good as any. Good bye to the chicks in six, the classroom community is broken without you.

AWSOME GOODBYE CHICKS POEM
Goodbye Chicks
Promise me you'll grow so tall
And remember to be friendly to all
Be good chickens
Don't let us down
Just fly and dance and turn around
Though you probably don't know it
Today is a BIG day
THis lonely day in May
Where all you chicks just go away.

Never Forget......
Never forget.......
This is for the chickies: Lil Leopard, Boston, Sunny, Orie, Angel, and Penguin. And everyone else who refuses to take them back.
We won't forget you
Your chirps are my song, your song, our song
Our song will be forever in our memories
The song will be playing for generations, and beyond
We won't forget the time we first saw each other
Our eyes gazing at each other with curiosity and fright
No understanding between our bodies
We gave you these names,
Sunny, Orie, Boston, Lil Leopard, Angel, Penguin, very curious names
Now thankful for the names, since it matched your personalities, not your appearances
Never forgetting the moment that we had a debate over the names
We will never forget the sight of having a birthday party for you
Giving you oatmeal and carrots
Seeing the result of this, everyone having a "stepping-over-the-food-party"
Just seeing everyone enjoying the first birthday party ever held for a chicken in the sixth grade, only wishing that it would last forever
We won't forget the times we held you, touched you, kissed you, loved you
And we will never be apart from each other, since we will find a way to see each other again
I can imagine that sight, holding you again after some time, finally hearing you chirp again, and feeling your very soft feathers across your body
We will never forget the time we spent with eachother,
Seeing each and everyone of you grow into wonderful, friendly chickens
We will always remember, from our birth to our deaths
We will never forget your wonderful chirps, dreaming that we will hear those chirps once more, filling our hearts with happiness, and filling in the hole of sadness in our souls from the sight of you going away
We will always remember you, wishing that we see eachother again soon!
We will truly miss each and everyone of you, forever and ever
WE ALL LOVE YOU, ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL!!!!!!!!
With love,
Everyone

A Dear Goodbye to Our Sweet Chicks in Six...
To Orie, Sunshine, Leopard, Angel, Penguin, and Boston,
I know you'll probably never find this post. And even if you did, you could never read it anyways. But I just wanted to say goodbye. I won't see you for a while. Like, a long while. I can't come on June 2nd with the rest of them. I have to dress up and go to this awards ceremony. Real fancy shmancy stuff. Maybe I'll come during summer break. I certainly have plenty of time.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy Governor's Island. It certainly sounds entertaining. Although the lack of attention probably gets depressing sometimes. But you'll have a good life there. So do enjoy your life to the fullest. And... don't eat lots of cupcakes. I do love them, but they'll make you sick. Just eat oatmeal and rice and mushy food scraps. So... yeah.
Even though you're gone, we all still love you. Just remember that.
Have fun in life,
Maia, who still loves cupcakes (and other sugary things)

The Last Goodbye
We wont forget
the first time we met.
The day we knew
we were at home.
That day you were dying
to pick us up.
And when you did,
the whole world was big.
Little Leopard, Boston, Orie,
Sunny, Penguin, Angel, you named us.
And with that we gave you all our trust.
With a very long deep sigh,
we responded your wishes.
Sometimes, we felt like fishes,
when they're not in the water.
Those big hands of yours
reached every time you needed us.
So long, that we felt like the
world was ours.
We wanted to explore more,
more outside our box.
We are sorry we pooped at you,
it wasn't our fault it came out so soon.
We are sorry because we pecked hard,
our beaks were our guards.
We wont forget those
lovely memories.
They are jewels to us.
Now wipe those tears of yours,
because we know you
would all be in our tiny, but big hearts.
With love,
Orie, Leopard Baby, Sunny, Penguin, Angel, and last but not least, Boston.
How chickens communicate
How chickens communicate
Excessive flapping ,squawking, and trying to fly away from you means they want to get away from you.
If they stay calm near you and/or move near you or snuggle up with you means that they fell comfortable with you.
If you get one of the chickens to fall asleep with you then that means that there really comfortable with you or their just tired.
When a chicken is acting like a chicken meaning doing normal things that chickens do that means you have done a very good job taking care of them congratulate yourself you should be proud that you can understand the chicken and know how to take care of ckickens its not an easy job for everyone.

on my thumb.
You will always be in my heart,
though I think you will hardly fit,
the size you've gotten.
I'll miss you my dear.
Goodbye.
And all of you others,
Angel and Orie,

and you too Leopard Baby,
I love you all the same.

We will miss you very much after you leave us tomorrow. We will visit you soon on the first weekend in June at your new home in Governors Island. Until then, here is something:
Who cares if you're small
Who cares if you're tall
If your yellow, brown, black or white
fat or slim
Feathery, or not so much
One of the sun's color,
big, bold and bright
Another of the night sky,
as she drifts she spreads her angel wings
Two twins together,
black and white with soft feathers
One of soft, soft feathery feet
And last, but certainly not least
the little baby leopard,
as small as can be
Who cares if you're small
Who cares if you're tall
Not one is better than the rest
You are all amazing chickens!
LITTLE LEOPARD
I WILL MISS YOU
YOU WERE A VERY TREMENDOUS
BUT SMALL LITTLE CHICKY
WHAT MADE YOU SO SPECIAL
WAS THE COLOR OF YOUR BRIGHT FEATHERS
I WILL MISS CARRYING YOU
IN MY HANDS
EVERY TIME IN
THE MORNING
AND IN LUNCH
GOODBYE LITTLE LEOPARD
I'll Miss You Poem

Oh how much we'll miss.......
The welcoming sounds of music the chicks display.
Oh how much we'll miss........
The warm, cuddly feeling we get when seeing or holding the chicks.
Oh how much we'll miss........
The sudden sounds coming within the pen, creating a smile on our face and stares of wonder.
Oh how much we'll miss........
Being able to brag to others, "I have 6 chicks in my classroom".
Oh how much we'll miss......

Do you ever wonder what goes on in a chick's brain? Well, they have dedicated minds. have you ever noticed that if they are alone they are either quiet or loud. When they are quiet, they are forming a conspiracy. They have a secret. when they are loud, they are giggling and being best friends. Have you noticed who they let hold them? Have you noticed who they poop on, always? Well, this the chickens being irresponsible teenagers. Oh, they, they have irresponsible little brains too. Oreo is the kid that is addicted to technology and does nothing but sit around. Leopard is the really social kid who is a mediocre student. Boston and penguin are the best friends who are immature and irresponsible but still great academically. Sunny is the big guy on the block. Not the bully but the big popular guy. Angel is the really hyper one but is still really fun and very popular. These chickens have their own pecking order.

Chick Madness!!!!!
Leopard Baby is so cute! She thinks she's the queen because she found a worm. Penguin thinks she's the queen because she found a slug. The others think think they're the best for other reasons. Sunny is the biggest and she thought she could eat all the cake on their birthday. She knocked over the cake. Penguin ate the most. Oreo didn't eat anything. Leopard is so nice and will sit on someone's shoulder. Angel is a little crazy sometimes but is really cute. Boston and Oreo are twins. Boston is not very calm. Oreo will calm down if you hold her for awhile. Penguin has feathers on her feet and will not fall asleep on someone's lap, unlike most of the others.
I'll miss all of the chicks. I know I'll see them again someday, but it will feel different when they aren't in the classroom with us. I hope they remember us. We will definitely remember them. So, goodbye, chicks.
Approved by Oreo, Boston, Leopard Baby, Angel, Penguin, and Sunny (aka The Chicks). ^_^

Goodbye Humans
Hello humans............. I know that we are going soon. My mama "Meredith" was making preparations to send us back. We are VERY sad, and I don't want to leave my mama. "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't make us leave , mama. We want to stay with the children humans", I chirped to her. She didn't understand what I said, but if she did, I knew that it would break her heart to know that she had to give us back, even though we didn't want to leave. Now that I know that we're leaving for sure, I just want to know that we chicks greatly appreciate all the love that you've given us. We will miss you with all of our little chicky hearts.
-Goodbye for good,
Leopard Baby

Saying Goodbye
There are the six chicks. They are leaving. We all said goodbye in best wishes. When prof.Hill was getting ready to hand them in the whole 6th grade prepared a large party.Everyone spent a lot of time with the baby chicks one last time.Everyone made many things for the chickens. The chickens loved their box with many toys.Everyone was then playing with them.Then.LEOPARD BABY!She want on top of the box!She was flapping her wings and she flew crazy.Everyone was trying to get her but she was to quick. Then she fell. She was hurt very bad.Everyone then helped.Leopard baby then saw everyone and made a good recovery. Then she had to be returned.Everyone made a banner to say goodbye and the chickens left.
Bye-Bye Chickens.
The experience with the chicks are sadly over ,but we don't have to say goodbye forever because they are going to stay at Governors Island where they will be kept safe and where we can visit them ourselves without any money cost. And overall this experience was amazing and I hope they continue to remember us.So long, chickens.
Orie and the CHICKmunks : Part 2 ((Last and Final Part)) The End!! :(
Meredith's Plan A failed miserably all the chicks did was chirp and poop on her co-workers. Orie even kept trying to kiss one of them , which was really horrible because then the person became so obsessed with Orie that he actually thought she loved him . WWWIIIEEERRRDDDOOO! But Meredith had no more time to make any more plans and try to save her career because in a few months the chickens had to leave. They were growing up now and it was time . They've been planing on where to go . They were so excited yet so sad. When they finally agreed on going to the UK (( 1D's hometown )). The months went by and the chicks had so much fun with Meredith it was finally time to leave . The chicks had to get on their flight to the UK at 7:00 pm and now it was 5:42 but they had to start packing because the airport was far away . Everyone was saying their farewells. Angel was crying on the huge sofa and Boston was trying to comfort her poor sister trying to fight the tears herself. Sunshine was figuring out the quickest way to get there while Leopard Baby was helping her . Penguin was crying as well but she kept slipping and falling on the floor. Then theres Orie
"WWWWOOOOHHHOOOO!!!"
Orie was sliding down the staircase with her suitcase , when she got to the bottom she kept on laughing and she couldn't see where she was going and bumped into Penguin who was having trouble standing up herself with her furry feet and tears falling everywhere. Then they both fell . Meredith yelled "OOOORRRIIIEEE!!!" then Orie of course got into huge trouble . Okay , now it was time to go and Meredith decided to take them to the airport on the train . When they finally got to the airport they all cried even Orie she was finally feeling the pain everyone else was feeling . They all said goodbye and Meredith promised to go visit them again and maybe take some of her friends to go see them with her ( even the obsessed co-worker ) . They all hugged and then the chicks left . Angel could not stop crying " Do you know how much ill miss her , i mean she was always there to take care of us " Angel said. They all agreed and were really sad. Then they all broke in to song singing 'Moments' by One Direction . It was then time for them to get on the plane . When they finally got in their seats and were all seated. Angel was still crying Boston trying to comfort her telling her that it'll be okay. Sunshine and Leopard baby were really excited to go and see new places . Penguin was eating :) and Orie was just playing with the plane window slide thingy. She kept opening and closing it . But this time no one was there to tell her to stop :( Then 5 rather particular and familiar guys walk in the plane and sat in the seats in front of them . Penguin for one recognized them , shes a directioner (( oh yess i am one too ! lol )) She immeadiatly started fangirling "OMG GUYS DID YOU SEE THEM DID YOU SEE THEM OHH MAA GERRDD GUIISSSS ITS ONE DIRECTION OMG LOOK NIALL , HARRY, ZAYN,LIAM,AND LOUIS. DID YOU-DID YA KNOW LIAM IS AFRAID OF SPOONS GEEZZ I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!" . " Lads did you hear that. Sounds like a chicken just talked, did ye hear that?" Niall said. Liam responded " Yes mate I actually did *turns around in seat* looks like we have a directioner back here and it is a chicken isn't that bizarre?!" They all introduced them and hung out through the whole flight Angel even stopped crying :D Zayn,Liam,Harry,Niall and Louis decided to keep the chicks it made them happy and vice versa . They all lived happily ever after and walked in ONE DIRECTION :)
THE END !!!
A chick conversation
Leopard: These people are so nice. I like it on their shoulder.
Sunny: Are you crazy? Their shoulder is so scary! And the people are loud.I agree that thay are nice, but they are too loud.
Leopard: They are SO nice. They're not scary.
Oreo: What's going on?
Sunny: Leopard likes to be on the people's shoulder, and I don't.
Oreo: Why does it matter? They take care of us.
Leopard: Yeah, especially my mom.
Sunny: They are really nice.
The point is that the chicks love us and we love them. We're almost like family. They think of us as mothers and fathers, and we think of them as children. They are soooooooooooo cute!!!
I Have Been A Bad Parent For Which I Do Not Apoligize
Are chickens a higher creature than our obsolete race?
I must ask the question because if so, I must make it so that chickens replace humans as they slowly die off the earth, and if not than every chicken must be brutally killed one by one to make room for humans.
What would be sad, though, is that there are higher race than whichever is better. So if we continue this strategy, then we will eventually make it so that there is one race left. Then they will go cannibalistic and make earth a lifeless planet.
I'm not saying it is, but what if this was the mindset I helped raise the chickens with (actually it is.)
This could mean one of two things.
1. I am a crazy guy
2. I am a bad parent
So I'm going to go with the both. So chicks, I'm very sorry for this mindset I have raised you. Therefore, I do not apologize.

Farewell Chickies
As the sun goes down, the chickies say there last farewells. Each going there own way to governors island they exchange their last goodbyes in little peeps and sighs. Each was photo shot to preserve the memory that surely won't last. This was the chickens farewell.
The chickens will take a ferry, back to where they started. Before they met us. Before we met them. Back to the origin, where they are unlikely to see us again, even at there dying day. This was the chickens farewell.
But all is not lost. As you know these are not the smartest chicks. In time they will forget us. Forget we existed. Soon enough we will be lost in the crowd of people that they see. For us it will not be so easy to wipe our memories. When we see a tall yellow hen, all we will see is Sunny. A small black and white bird will only be Oreo
This was the chickens farewell.

"I wonder"
"I wonder how it is outside. How it is to be running off over the limits from where I can go. Most of the time, all I see is more walls. No matter where I go, or how much I run. I wonder why I can't even understand my mother. I can understand almost all my friends around me, but for some reason, I cannot understand my mother. I wonder if there is more to my life than just eating/drinking out of a small container, and getting held by other creatures. Is this all that I can get from my life? Is there something that I did not do yet? Is there something more that I can do to spend my life on? I wonder."

Chickie Fun - We Will Play Until the Day is Done
Care, compassion, and commotion? Not the three descriptive words you would expect to hear about a chick hangout. Nevertheless, during Friday's chick meeting, those were the words that would be used to describe the fun.
Sunny was perfectly cared for and stayed with her group for the most part. First she enjoyed staying on Juliet's lap, then she flew over to my knee, and finally Sunny went to Jarlenys.
Unfortunately, when the volume reached its highest, she let out her panic trill.
Many observers, or victims, discovered the pattern of Sunny's pooping. She ruffles her feathers then does something that looks like she is squatting. My advise, wear washable clothing upon contact with the chicks. If you run into a problem, paper towels will remove it, but afterwards you might want to run that article of clothing in the laundry.
In the loudest parts of the chick group work, many chicks left their own group. Once, Sunny left for Boston and her group. Sunny and the rest of our group was joined by all the other chicks, even if they didn't linger long.
Also, during the "hangouts", 6.2 discovered not to keep the chicks it for too long, it will make them nervous and energetic afterwards. There wasn't one time when I didn't see Leopard Baby on the box, after we finished playing with her and the other chicks.
Therefore, the chick groups might have fun intentions, but they were lots of hard work.
Boston liked shoulders. They all did, even sunny now, but she did especially The good sports to get scratched on the neck were from the high up loft of the shoulder, well a chick could perch and see the active world around her without bringing down a cardboard box. Hands felt strangling, knees felt cold and made Boston feel like a toy. A shoulder showed respect, responsibility, connection, admiration.
" Enjoy it while it lasts, we ship out tomorrow" Boston yelled
As she stared into the eyes of her current holder, she tried to guess what he found so fascinating The chicks talked, ate, and got a nice comfy home of paper shavings and cardboard in exchange for this coddling, but Boston could not figure out why.
Even sunny was enjoying her last ride. It was then it came to her. Just as she relished every observance of love or hate or need to get away or bondage with the other humans, they found the same twisted but erilie similar reflection of themselves in the chicks.
Happy with her realization, Boston took one final flap, just to see his face at the moment when love, but not the schmaltzy kind triumphed, and flew back into command central.
The chicks were here friends, and they would go on,remembering the humans who had found such great admiration non their own little world

The other day,in class,Prof.Hill let us put the chicks on the floor. We got into groups of 6 or so and each group had a chick. Oreo,my group's chick, stayed with my group, but the other chicks were a lot more adventurous. Angel kept trying to get away from her group to explore the classroom. Penguin and Boston were wandering around, and at one point Penguin's group couldn't find her. After a while, there weren't really groups anymore. People just followed their favorite chicks around the room. Then Prof.Hill put food and water for the chicks near my group, and 4 of the chicks stayed by that area. It was mostly chaos, and all of the chicks did their business at least 5 times.

Suggestions for New Chicken Names
Here are some names that I suggest for the chickens to suit them better:
Sunny: The yellow little chick we new and love isn't so little or yellow anymore. She is now the biggest of the the chickens and she has more of a golden brown color like honey. Her new name should be "Queen Bee" on account of being honey colored and the biggest chicken.
Angel: This sweet little angel is not what she used to be. Like what Prof. Hill said,"Angel is an instigator." I myself have seen her little infamous acts of evil. She has pecked several other chicks in front of me and everybody has seen her pooping everywhere. By the looks of it, her name should be "Poopsie".
Penguin: Penguin has looked like a real penguin for the first two weeks of her life. But now, the name doesn't fit any more. I know this was a name suggestion in the vote, but it best suits the chicken now: "Featherfoot". There are more feathers on penguin's feet than ever now and as you know, penguin looks like she was supposed to be one of the twins.
Boston: Boston should be the rightful owner of the name "Oreo" mainly because she looks more like an Oreo than her twin. Just look at her, She looks as if she was made up of mashed up Oreos.
Little Leopard: Little Leopard is an awesome name, don't criticize it.
Oreo: Oreo has always been screaming whenever someone picked her up, so her new name should be "Screamy".

"Wow! That was so fun!" exclaimed Orie. "I got to sleep so much!"
"Yeah! I liked being tapped by all those huge people!" replied Boston.
"I liked their hands going down my feathery back," added Penguin.
"But... I just hope they don't hurt me," said Baby Leopard.
"It's okay," Sunny replied. "They're just petting you!"
"I'm scared of them, too," squeaked Angel. "I just run away."
"Don't worry! They won't hurt you!" said Sunny.
"Are you sure?" questioned Angel.
"Yep! Don't worry."
"Okay!" exclaimed Angel.

And they all rested and had happy dreams.

Haikus n chicks...
Being free
Falling to freedom,
the chicks find themselves lonely,
It is the place-home
Falling forward
Time rushes past them,
They do not realize how fast.
Soon, it has vanished.
Chickens
It is there time now,
Where they grow to find their moms.
But they fly away.
Flight
They jump and they go,
Falling upward to the sky.
The sound of the air.
Life for chicks
The time slips away,
We desperately grab hold.
Some pass while some fail.
Chicken Breeds
There are many different chicken breeds. Not as many as dogs, but still too many to put on the page. I will give a short description on a few breeds, including some in the Chicks In Six.
Thüringian
This is the breed that Penguin is. It has furry feet and is black and white.
Transylvanian Naked Neck
This is a very interesting breed. It is black with some red feathers on the head. It most importantly has no hair on it's neck, hence the name.
Plymouth Rock
I'm not entirely sure, but I believe this is the breed that Sunny is. It is light yellow and in some places, white.
Yokohama
This is a work-in-progress man-made breed. It has long white hair on it's lower body, tail, and head/neck, but no hair on the upper body.
Sultan
The Sultan has white hair LITERALLY EVERYWHERE!
Serama Bantams
These have a very large tail and can be any color or combination of colors.
There are many more breeds, but like I said earlier, there are too many to put on the page.
-James
The chicks
Bye you nasty humans.
Away we go,
we hope we never see you again,
oh wait, no.
We will see you one last time later,
but after that never again.
We hope we don't sound like haters.
We're not humans.
From your enemies,
the chicks
TOP SECRET (seriously)
DON'T READ THIS
Really
SERIOUSLY
JUST STOP
Are you still reading?, well its good you're not a wimpy reader, but I don't have much time to tell this story. Just to start off, are you afraid? Of anything in particular, or just generically? you should always remember that there is always something to be afraid of. (sorry about that, it was just to get you in the mood). Chances are that you've seen the chicks. You might even have held them. If you were lucky Then you might even had had the opportunity to develop an understanding with one, just a little relationship that will help you get through life. Chances are also that you probably don't know the truth about these ridiculously fluffy creatures: They are the result of a horrible mad scientist's experiment gone terribly wrong. (I have decided to do the rest of the story as if it were a movie, so bear with me)
Scene one:
zoom into blackness
title appears "Top Secret (seriously)"
credits (no one cares about these so i'll leave them out)
NARRATOR: In a world of science and discovery, a world of pioneers discovering new frontiers, an out of work mad scientist ponders what to do next in is laboratory
MAD SCIENTIST (with a heavy russian accent): Igor! put those down! what are you doing??
Authors note: Sorry its so corny

Farewell
Farewell
Farewell my feathered friends
I remember you were, only a moment ago, babies
Goodbye, chirping chicks, Farewell ladies
This is not the end but only the begging
Don't worry, Don't fray
Stop your weeping, all will be okay
We will celebrate your leaving
and praise your coming
Some will cry, others will smile
we're just cherishing your presence for awhile
As the day comes to a end
and you are asleep in your pen
We'll say Farewell
Angel, Oreo, Sunny, Boston, Leopard Baby, Penguin
Stop your weeping, all will be okay
We will celebrate your leaving
and praise your coming
Some will cry, others will smile
we're just cherishing your presence for awhile
As the day comes to a end
and you are asleep in your pen
We'll say Farewell

Chicks Growth
I haven't hung out with the chicks a lot but, I am so surprised by their growth. I have never seen something grow that fast. I'm not picking favorites but, penguin is huge! It looks like an adult chicken though, it's only about a month and one week old. I think all the chickens are cute and I would love to have them as my own (that will never happen). It's too bad that they're all leaving. At least we're having a going-away party. That will be the best time with the chicks.

I am Boston and this is about how spectacular I am!
Nor wind, winter, or worry frightens me
For I am Boston, not for a city in the fifty but
For rather one of the chicks in six.
I am the god of the chickens,
Representing amazingness.
I am amazing.
Nothing shall frighten me or
turn off my light.
For I am Boston,
With no fright.

Everybody except Boston: (squinting)
Angel: Dun Dun Dun...
Boston: (squirms) Really sorry Leopard...
Leopard Baby: Oh, it's alright Boston. I know you're a chick to be careful with.

Penguin: Woah! Sunny! You're HUGE!
Sunshine: It's not just me, (making a face) you're getting fat too!
Oreo: We're not getting fatter, were growing! Oh, we'll, except for you, Leopard Baby.
Leopard Baby: HAHA! I get to stay young longer! (starts dancing)
Sunshine: And I'm the fattest of all... Hehe

Angel: You just killed it. Leopard, you feelin' okay?
Leopard Baby: Kind of, but I feel very sleepy, and I can't open my eye.
Sunshine: Oh Boston, when will you learn to be careful, and calm? You karate chopped out of your egg!

The Chick Diaries: Chapter 1, Being Born Into The World
The Chick Diaries
Chapter 1
Being Born Into The World
I open my eyes. I am blind, and disabled..
I look around, only to realize that I am trapped in some kind of object. My surroundings have no color, only a pale white color that makes me curious. Where am I? What is this object that I am in? Am I trapped here forever? Will it set me free?
Then, I begin to here strange noises.
My heart pounded like a thousand elephants going on a rampage in Southern Africa. Please don't do me any harm!! Then the sounds stopped.
After being in the same surroundings
for almost two months, I got used to weird noises. I understood that I was in a "shell", with no way of escaping, no way of breathing, no way of living. However, on the first day of the third month of me being in the "shell", I suddenly came out of my habitat. The shell has finally set me free, and allowed me to live my own life.
There was a bright color up in the sky.
It was as bright as a star. Everything was a bit blurry at first, but the fog on my eyelids began to lift. I saw the blue sky, the Earth, the universe, and beyond that.
All of a sudden, I looked around, I see
feathers on my body, and bird-like feet at the bottom of the earth. I realized that I was a bird, ready to fly off into the sunset.
As I look around, I see five other
creatures that looked like me. The only difference is the colors of the wings. Two birds had white and black feathers, probably twins. One had black with brownish feathers. Another bird looked much like a penguin. And the smallest bird had leopard-like feathers. I also had a color of wings. My wings were yellow. They sparkled in the sun's rays, and shined in the moon's silver light.
Hopefully, I get to know these chicks, and we'll become a family to love and care for each other.
Hopefully, I get to explore the world, the Earth, the universe, and beyond.
Hopefully, my dreams will begin to appear, and my life will begin.
Sincerely,
Sunshine
